The search bar on the Rentaroo homepage understands plain language. Rather than choosing a city, a price range and a number of rooms one by one, you can type a sentence such as “2 bedroom flat, at least 60 m², in London” or “3 bedroom house under £1,200 in Southampton”. Rentaroo reads the location, size, price and property type from your description and shows the listings that match.

AI notifications: let Rentaroo watch the market for you
An AI notification is a saved search that works around the clock. Rentaroo scans every new listing added to the platform, and when a home matches your criteria you are notified by email, and optionally by WhatsApp, so you can get in touch before other renters do.
With an AI notification you can:
- set your criteria once, such as location, price, size and property type, and refine them at any time
- receive alerts as soon as matching homes are published, instead of repeating the same search every day
- create more than one notification if you are looking in several areas or for different types of home
- choose how often you hear from us, pause an alert, or delete it whenever you like

Is AI on Rentaroo free?
Yes. AI search and AI notifications are part of Rentaroo’s free features: you can search, save your criteria and receive alerts without a subscription. A free account lets you save homes and manage your alerts. A Rentaroo Premium subscription is needed when you want to see the full listing details, view landlord contact details and contact a landlord directly through a listing.
How to get the most out of AI on Rentaroo
- Be specific but not too narrow. A description or alert with a clear location, budget and size gives better matches than a very long list of requirements, which can leave you with few or no results.
- Combine the two. Use AI search to explore what is available today, then save the same criteria as an AI notification so you never miss what is published tomorrow.
- Act quickly on alerts. Landlords often reply to the first few enquiries, so a Premium subscription lets you contact them the moment a matching home appears.
- Keep your alerts up to date. If your budget or preferred area changes, edit the notification rather than creating a new one.
